A new-concept apartment complex for modern urban residents, 26VESETAS will open doors at 26 Vesetas Street, located in the modern centre of Riga, in 2018. Besides compact apartments with tasteful interior design, 26VESETAS will also feature, for the first time in Latvia, a common-use space for all of the residents, creating a new standard of life and neighbourly relations in Riga.
26VESETAS will offer homes to modern urban residents – target-oriented people with busy schedules who are demanding on themselves as well as on their living environment. For this reason, 102 apartments at 26VESETAS have compact layouts with functional and tasteful design. Interior design for ten apartments has been created by leading Latvian interior designers Mareks Birznieks, Mārcis Šakausks, Elīna Frankēvica, and Rita and Kārlis Lauders.
“For one to feel comfortable at home, well thought-out and tasteful apartment design is very important, as is the neighbourhood and neighbours that live the same lifestyle and share the same values. 26VESETAS will offer all of that, but we also want to provide something new. Hence a common-use space, open to all residents of 26VESETAS for joint events, which could also be booked for private events or business meetings. We hope that the common-use premises will contribute to the feeling of belonging at 26VESETAS, as well as encourage different approach to home planning in Riga,” says 26VESETAS Project Manager Dana Jasone-Aleksandroviča.
To present the new living space concept to the general public, 26VESETAS and visual journalist Agnese Kleina organized a meeting with interior designers involved in designing apartments at 26VESETAS. During a discussion about people’s expectations from their living space, they agreed that a modern living space had to meet the tenants’ values as well as their likely needs in the future.
“Today people are used to sharing personal space: sharing information on the social media, opening their doors to foreign guests through Airbnb, sharing a private vechile via ridesharing. 26VESETAS offers something unprecedented: to share living space thus encouraging neighbours to socialize and capture new lifestyle trends,” concludes Agnese Kleina, Visual Journalist, Publisher and Editor of bookazine Benji Knewman.
