Residential space 26VESETAS has launched a new approach to uniting future residents. To introduce neighbours to each other, to discover their surroundings and city life in the modern centre of Riga, apartment buyers and known townsmen, accompanied by an experienced narrator, went on a special 26VESETAS adventure tour with Vespa scooters.
Residential buildings of 26VESETAS are located in Skanstes district, at 26 Vesetas Street, which is a district of Riga with extensive future infrastructure development plans and at the same time an interesting history that over several centuries, has established the modern Riga city centre as we know it today.
“26VESETAS offers a modern town resident a high-quality living space in the neighbourhood, where there are many places and addresses essential for a city lifestyle. We want 26VESETAS residents to feel at home before opening the apartment door – by knowing the surrounding area, its history, chatting and talking to neighbours on a daily basis. When we realised that interest in the project was so high, because 60% of the apartments were sold in a short time, we decided to introduce the 26VESETAS future residents both to each other and to the surroundings – how it has developed and will develop in the future,” says Dana Jasone-Aleksandroviča, 26VESETAS project manager.
To show the development of the area of Vesetas Street, together with historian Kaspars Zaltāns we selected nine of the most interesting buildings in the area, which by their function or architecture have made a significant contribution to the development of Riga’s modern city centre: Riga Hippodrome, Charlotte or Wagner Manor, Riga Second German Secondary School, Vidzeme Market, Fon Stricka Villa, Maikapara House, Latvian Firefighting Museum and contemporary art centre KIM? All of the places are within walking distance, but to enjoy a truly urban-like atmosphere, they are easy to visit by bike or scooter.
Also, visual journalist Agnese Kleina, blogger Agnija Grigule and other lovers of the modern city rhythm came along to get acquainted with the modern Riga city centre. Anyone interested can go on the 26VESETAS mapped route and discover the stories created by the historian. The route map and stories are posted on 26VESETAS social sites – Facebook https://www.facebook.com/26VESETAS, and Instagram https://www.instagram.com/26vesetas/.
